Edvaldo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the WayneTech Football Club defense, Pedro Paulo Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Eger. The WayneTech Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Eger should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, WayneTech Football Club's Nelson Eger got control of the ball when Mané Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guaçuano's Guga Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Valladares in the 19th minute of play. Ademar Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Maurício de Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guga Garcia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, WayneTech Football Club's Christiano Valladares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guga Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 33 minutes into the match, WayneTech Football Club's goalkeeper Nelson Eger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mané Santana. 36 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Guga Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mané Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Eger having to interfere. Mané Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nelson Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício de Brito in the 44th minute of play forced Guaçuano's goalkeeper Guga Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Meirelles was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. The supporters of WayneTech Football Club booed when Guaçuano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Falcão Santana shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rony Quintal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Guaçuano's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Prado came free, but Guga Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rony Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th minute Christiano Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Jano Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Nelson Eger. WayneTech Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 62 minutes into the game, Guaçuano's Rony Quintal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson Eger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Maurício de Brito's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Guga Garcia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Quintal in the 93rd minute of play forced WayneTech Football Club's goalkeeper Nelson Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guga Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Valladares in the 96th minute of play. The Guaçuano fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. WayneTech Football Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
