In the 6th match minute, Caucaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Pitta to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, Marco Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caucaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fox Machine the free kick. In the 10th minute, Marco Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caucaia's Luiz Fábio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Melo in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Caucaia's Marco Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reginaldo de Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th match minute, Caucaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Santana to maneuver through the defense. If Alberto Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Caucaia getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nestor Guerra hit a great ball. Basílio Araújo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Fábio Cearense. Caucaia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reginaldo de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Soares's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Caucaia's Hélder Andrade in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fox Machine's goalie prevented a goal. If Marco Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reginaldo de Salles didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Caucaia's Hélder Andrade shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Reginaldo de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Andrade in the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélder Andrade made a kick off. The score was 0-3 after a penalty in the 55th minute, where Caucaia:s Arlindo de Amaral tricked Fox Machine:s Reginaldo de Salles with a difficult ball by the left post. Reginaldo de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Andrade in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Andrade in the 61st minute of play forced Fox Machine's goalkeeper Reginaldo de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Hélder Andrade fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Reginaldo de Salles, passed just outside the right post. In the 74thth minute of the game Alberto Melo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caucaia's Luiz Fábio Cearense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Caucaia's Hélder Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo de Salles having to interfere. Hélder Andrade struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Reginaldo de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caucaia. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Andrade in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reginaldo de Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 97th minute Carlos Eduardo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Fox Machine fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caucaia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
