Corumbaiba's João Pedro Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Pena in the 5th minute of play. José Pedro Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego da Fonseca in the 9th minute of play. José Pedro Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Melo in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s goalkeeper José Pedro Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Melo. Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s José Pedro Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Galáticos Paulista S.C. from getting a goal against them. In the last second José Pedro Moraes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Diego da Fonseca in the 30thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Diego da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Pedro Moraes made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Paulo Melo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Paulo Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corumbaiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Pedro Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Renato da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Pedro Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Melo went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 44 played minutes Corumbaiba got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato da Silveira. José Pedro Moraes stood somewhat misplaced when Diego da Fonseca came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 47 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Galáticos Paulista S.C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Sebastião Varela hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corumbaiba the free kick. In the 63rd match minute, Galáticos Paulista S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Diniz to maneuver through the defense. Corumbaiba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matheus Medeiros in the 66th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Diego da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corumbaiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galáticos Paulista S.C. the free kick. A collision led to Corumbaiba getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Diego da Fonseca hit a great ball. Vágner Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Vides having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danilo Pena in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Pedro Vides saved Corumbaiba from getting behind. Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s José Pedro Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Melo in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Sebastião Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Pedro Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego da Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. When Paulo Melo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Corumbaiba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Melo couldn't finish the play. If Paulo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. José Pedro Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Corumbaiba had played much better football throughout.
