In the 17th minute Raphael Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Pedro Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 28th match minute, Camargos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernão Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Raphael Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. José Pedro Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Galáticos Paulista S.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Erivaldo Ceresso hit a great ball. Erivaldo Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erivaldo Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Rodolfo Brasil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Camargos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s José Pedro Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Brasil in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodolfo Brasil was the one to do the kick off. Raphael Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Raphael Mendes had several of the Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed José Pedro Moraes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Danilo Pena might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Loureiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Pena ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Pena in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elias Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Bernardinho Soares's late challenge caught a Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardinho Soares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Camargos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardinho Soares to maneuver through the defense.
