Vágner Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Zilles having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Chopim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Pinho came free, but Luizinho Zilles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júnior Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Luizinho Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredinho Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luizão Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manolo Bueno during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Romaria FC's zone, Luizão Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nando Porto came out of the goal and Luizão Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Pedro Santana in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nando Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute Júnior Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizinho Zilles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Romaria FC's Júnior Sabóia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luizinho Zilles. Luizinho Zilles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 82nd minute, Manolo Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Vágner Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romaria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho Zilles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nando Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Queiroz in the 92nd minute of play. Júnior Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
