Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomé Godoi kicked off to start the match. Claudinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís de Amaral in the 8th minute of play. Tomé Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 13 played minutes VIKINGS got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sarmento. In the 18th match minute, VIKINGS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute of the match Hernani Vargas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dieguinho Mangueira skillfully saved the ball. Frédson Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dieguinho Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vitinho de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taubate's protests and gave Vitinho de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Taubate got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho de Amaral. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Tomé Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taubate's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomé Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dieguinho Mangueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th match minute, VIKINGS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Tomé Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dieguinho Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frédson Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Taubate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frédson Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Dieguinho Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Godoi in the 41st minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Válter Arce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frédson Pernambucano might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dieguinho Mangueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frédson Pernambucano ran back to his position shaking his head. Frédson Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Taubate's Frédson Pernambucano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dieguinho Mangueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomé Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieguinho Mangueira having to interfere. If Frédson Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes, Simão Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VIKINGS and the Taubate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes VIKINGS got a freekick which was hit by Simão Albuquerque. Tomé Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th match minute, VIKINGS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Dieguinho Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Juan Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Tomé Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
