The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Calheiros SS's protests and gave Oséias Porto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Oséias Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Basílio Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deivid Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Tasso in the 12th minute of the match. Basílio Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Naldo Mendonça got free with Tiago Gabriel Sarmento in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michel Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Gabriel Sarmento having to make a save. Nildo Camargo charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nildo Camargo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Calheiros SS's Jorginho Freire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tiago Gabriel Sarmento. Tiago Gabriel Sarmento yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Calheiros SS's Michel Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Gabriel Sarmento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Basílio Quintal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Deivid Bertassi. Calheiros SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basílio Quintal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Michel Sena's late challenge caught a Pupuri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Sena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Calheiros SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Sena to maneuver through the defense. If Naldo Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Sarmento having to interfere. Naldo Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michel Sena made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Ronaldão Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calheiros SS's Naldo Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basílio Quintal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Deivid Bertassi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Michel Sena was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Calheiros SS's Michel Sena got a free kick in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Calheiros SS's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Tasso came free, but Deivid Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nildo Camargo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Chicão Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio Quintal got free with Deivid Bertassi in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Naldo Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Tiago Gabriel Sarmento. Pupuri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Naldo Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
