Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Léo Ceresso took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Valparaiso's Jaime Faria got control of the ball when Zé Paulo Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 5th minute, Wilton Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Léo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, one of Valparaiso:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Valparaiso. The goalkeeper, Jaime Faria, was totally fooled by Perobal's Jefferson Bertassi, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 22 minutes into the game, Léo Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ademir Zonta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Léo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Augusto Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hernani Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Perobal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Hernani Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jaime Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Faria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the last second Jaime Faria throw himself and got hold of the ball when Hernani Rodrigues in the 42ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Perobal's Zé Paulo Soeiro came free and shot a quick shot against goal 45 minutes in the game, fortunately Jaime Faria had problems saving as it came toward the left post.

Valparaiso's Jaime Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Soeiro in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Zé Paulo Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Hernani Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 73 minutes, Mauro Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perobal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ademir Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ademir Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
