The supporters of Banca booed when Icana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th match minute, Banca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. José Paulo Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustão de Lara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Gustavo Coelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Nestor Urbano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icana's José Paulo Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Nestor Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Banca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Urbano couldn't finish the play. With his leg José Paulo Batista managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Banca's Claudinho Cosme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. José Paulo Batista made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Claudinho Cosme sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Icana getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Fausto Xavier hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Nestor Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banca's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Paulo Batista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Paulo Batista made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Claudinho Cosme sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Cosme got free with José Paulo Batista in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the match, Icana's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Urbano came free, but José Paulo Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Urbano in the 42nd minute of play forced Icana's goalkeeper José Paulo Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nando Porto charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nando Porto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joel de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Batista having to interfere. Claudinho Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Icana defense, Claudinho Cosme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Paulo Batista. The Icana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Paulo Batista should have stopped the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Claudinho Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Paulo Batista. Icana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Banca were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Icana for a fine match.
