Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luís da Silveira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sanharao EC's Waldemar Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Sanches in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldir Simões during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Waldir Simões hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato França, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Dinei Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sanharao EC's Osmar Hermes got a free kick in the 13th minute. Valdir Pitta struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Waldemar Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PINGUIM. In the 16th minute, Renato França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinei Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Waldemar Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, PINGUIM's Eliseu de Lara got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, PINGUIM's goalkeeper Oswaldo Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Catarinense. Luís da Silveira succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Oswaldo Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Valdir Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. PINGUIM's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, PINGUIM's Eliseu de Lara got a free kick in the 37th minute. Oswaldo Vargas made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Osvaldinho Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. Renato França might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oswaldo Vargas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renato França ran back to his position shaking his head. Oswaldo Vargas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldinho Catarinense went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dinei Sanches made the kick off in the second half. Waldemar Rosado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carlos Fernando Teixeira. 56 minutes into the match, Sanharao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Sanches came free, but Waldemar Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís da Silveira in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Vargas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th match minute, Sanharao EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute of the match Sanharao EC got a corner. PINGUIM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donatello Secco ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Donatello Secco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oswaldo Vargas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oswaldo Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sanharao EC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Enrique de Queirós hit a great ball. Sanharao EC's Osvaldinho Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinei Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldinho Catarinense took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo Vargas. Oswaldo Vargas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sanharao EC fully deserved thier win.
