With a little luck, Dominguinho's Caio Travassos got control of the ball when Serginho Barral tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Serginho Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. super astros's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Travassos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Serginho Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Samuel Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dominguinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, super astros's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Galvão came free, but Adhemar Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Samuel Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dráusio Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Pena having to interfere. In the 45th minute Cipriano Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráusio Galvão to make the kick off. Cipriano Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Travassos having to interfere. In the 66th minute Serginho Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Dominguinho's Dráusio Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adhemar Pena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dráusio Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Dominguinho's zone, Serginho Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caio Travassos came out of the goal and Serginho Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmyr Cavalcante during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Walmyr Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dráusio Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Adhemar Pena made a huge save. The super astros supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dominguinho's performance. The match ended with a win for Dominguinho.
