Paulão de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to super astros getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Silvinho Veloso hit a great ball. The audience cheered when Manolo de Sena's long shot passed Adhemar Pena's right side. It was 1-0, 8 minutes into the match. Falcão Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Pena having to interfere. Miguel Mendes succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Adhemar Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Lopes in the 32nd minute of play. In the last second Adhemar Pena throw himself and got hold of the ball when Falcão Lopes in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Miguel Mendes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Adhemar Pena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Ceresso in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adhemar Pena saved super astros from getting behind. If Miguel Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adhemar Pena made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Miguel Mendes sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of super astros booed when Pelado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalmo de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serginho Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Falcão Lopes in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adhemar Pena saved super astros from getting behind. In the 54th minute of the match, Serginho Barral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulão de Andrade was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Serginho Barral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Paulão de Andrade when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Miguel Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Pena having to interfere. If Falcão Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Miguel Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Pelado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Mendes couldn't finish the play. Adhemar Pena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Falcão Lopes's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. If Falcão Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falcão Lopes struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Adhemar Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelado. The crowd rose to their feet as Serginho Barral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulão de Andrade. That made the score 3-1 in the 70 minute of play. Yuri Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Adhemar Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adhemar Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Mendes in the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Abraão in the 84th minute of play forced super astros's goalkeeper Adhemar Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adhemar Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Falcão Lopes went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Miguel Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adhemar Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After some careless play in the super astros defense, Miguel Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adhemar Pena. The super astros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adhemar Pena should have stopped the shot. Pelado were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of super astros for a fine match.
