When Edson Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Teffe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edson Vidal couldn't finish the play. Teffe's Dedê Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélder Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edson Vidal in the 28th minute. A collision led to Poramana SC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Elói Ribeiro hit a great ball. Hélder Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Edson Vidal sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Poramana SC booed when Teffe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Edson Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teffe's supporters rose to their feet, but Edson Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Prata in the 53rd minute of play forced Poramana SC's goalkeeper Hélder Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Patrício Garcia hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Edson Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute Edson Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Teffe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Poramana SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
