Cauã Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho de Brito in the 6th minute of the match. Yan Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dito dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recuperado's protests and gave Dito dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Recuperado got a freekick which was hit by Dito dos Santos. When Jorginho Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Recuperado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Baptista couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalmo Valladares in the 23rd minute of play forced Rodeio's goalkeeper Yan Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Rodeio's Zacarias Abreu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cauã Cunha. Cauã Cunha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 43 played minutes Rodeio got a freekick which was hit by Cacá de Godoy. Adalmo Valladares struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Yan Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recuperado. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorginho Baptista to make the kick off. Zacarias Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iuri Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Cacá de Godoy put in a rough tackle. In the 83rd minute, one of Rodeio:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rodeio. Ramón Leal shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 91st minute, Iuri Madureira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rodeio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Adalmo Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rodeio fans cheered their team off the field, for while Recuperado had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
