Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rafael Fantini took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Cunha having to interfere. In the 6th minute Rafael Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Recuperado got a freekick which was hit by Hugo do Nascimento. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Fantini in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cauã Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Joel Branco came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Bacaubas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Branco couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Branco in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauã Cunha saved Recuperado from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, Recuperado's Jorginho Baptista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro de Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cauã Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Recuperado getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kléberson de Queirós hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Rafael Fantini made a precise shot to the right of Cauã Cunha. Recuperado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Adalmo Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Recuperado's Hugo do Nascimento got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Rafael Fantini made a precise shot to the right of Cauã Cunha. Recuperado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Adalmo Valladares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rafael Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adalmo Valladares to strike the kick off in the second half. Joel Brancos short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Cauã Cunha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cauã Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Fantini in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorginho Baptista during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Recuperado getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jorginho Baptista hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bacaubas EC's Rafael Fantini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cauã Cunha. That made the score 0-4 after 82 minutes of play. Joel Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cauã Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Kléberson de Queirós hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Joel Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacaubas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cauã Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Bacaubas EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bacaubas EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
