Cléberson Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 19 minutes, Nicolas Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaiobazinho SS and the Juquia EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jaiobazinho SS's Nicolas Leme got a free kick in the 19th minute. Frank Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Armando Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Jaiobazinho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Armando Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Frank Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Frank Freire managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Juquia EC's Agnaldo Gomes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Silas do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Jaiobazinho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Renan de Souza came free, but Frank Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Juquia EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jaiobazinho SS were winning 0-1.

In the 52nd minute, Renan de Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Juquia EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Renan de Souza struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Frank Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juquia EC. In the 64th minute Armando Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan de Souza in the 66th minute of play forced Jaiobazinho SS's goalkeeper Frank Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Renan de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Frank Freire. Jaiobazinho SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 81st minute, Frédson Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juquia EC's Cléberson Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Juquia EC from getting a goal against them. Agnaldo Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Freire having to interfere. Agnaldo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Juquia EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jaiobazinho SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
