The Vermelhinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Alvarenga should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeu Queiroz in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Alvarenga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th match minute, Vermelhinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Oliveira to maneuver through the defense.
