After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Amadeu Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canicura's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hudson de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fabiano Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fabiano Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Cordeiro in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Esteves having to interfere. Claudinho Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Cordeiro in the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Parazinho AD's goalkeeper Hudson de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuca Gaúcho. The supporters of Parazinho AD booed when Canicura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin de Toledo in the 65th minute of play forced Canicura's goalkeeper Claudinho Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Benjamin de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Esteves was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Zé Paulo Vaz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Zé Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Esteves. Canicura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Zeca de Godoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
