Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lúcio Teixeira kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Lúcio Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Artur Rossi sped through Itaio SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fiori de Toledo. A collision led to Itaio SS getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Inácio Botelho hit a great ball. After 17 minutes Itaio SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Giovani Ferraz who took care of the corner kick. In the 19th minute, Luiz Fernando Romero made a precise shot to the right of Jânio de Amaral. Macajuba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Lúcio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cafu Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macajuba's protests and gave Cafu Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Itaio SS. Osvaldo Trancoso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jânio de Amaral. 1-2. Jânio de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A collision led to Itaio SS getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Duda Antunes hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Itaio SS's goalkeeper Fiori de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Rossi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Teixeira in the 45th minute of play forced Itaio SS's goalkeeper Fiori de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Matorin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Arnaldo Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jânio de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Rossi in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lúcio Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Fiori de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fiori de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Teixeira in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Arnaldo Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Matorin struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jânio de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaio SS. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Matorin in the 86th minute of play forced Macajuba's goalkeeper Jânio de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Macajuba's Vitório de Sena got a free kick in the 90th minute. Jânio de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
