Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Betão Teles kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, GIU.F.C's Zeca Esteves got control of the ball when Pedro Augusto do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Garibaldi EC's José Paulo Rosado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Zeca Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo Rosado in the 11th minute. The supporters of GIU.F.C booed when Garibaldi EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valério de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GIU.F.C's Valério de Souza got a free kick in the 18th minute. Betão Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Pedro Augusto do Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by José Paulo Rosado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. José Paulo Rosado got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 3-0 in the right cross in the 30th match minute before Zeca Esteves had time to react. Betão Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério de Souza to make the kick off. José Paulo Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Esteves having to interfere. In the 55th minute Betão Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to GIU.F.C getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. José Pedro Freitas hit a great ball. After 60 minutes GIU.F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Serafim Prado who took care of the corner kick. 61 minutes into the game, Chicão Tasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garibaldi EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GIU.F.C the free kick. Chicão Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 66 minutes of play, Garibaldi EC's Betão Teles made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeca Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, GIU.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Teles came free, but Zeca Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GIU.F.C's Zeca Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Teles in the 72nd minute of play. Betão Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind GIU.F.C's goalkeeper Zeca Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Paulo Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeca Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Teles in the 80th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Betão Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garibaldi EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ian Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the GIU.F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Moreno couldn't finish the play. If José Paulo Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Garibaldi EC booed when GIU.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball.
