A collision led to Acoteia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Guto Mandrak hit a great ball. Horácio Nunes's late challenge caught a Acoteia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. When Patrick Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Neris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Guerra couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Patrick Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Patrick Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kauã Pombal struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ademir Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acoteia. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rômulo Cerezo in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ademir Velasco saved Neris from getting behind. Franklin Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Oscar Bastos struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Pedro Augusto Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neris.
