After having played for 4 minutes, Antônio Carlos Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savage's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Carlos Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Savage getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Silas Gaspar hit a great ball. Ademir Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Medeiros in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Eurico Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademir Vides was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dinei Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Jacinto in the 17th minute of play. Antônio Carlos Alagoano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Dinei Arruda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ademir Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eurico Batista's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklin Jacinto got free with Dinei Arruda in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 29 minutes, Eurico Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saguoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eurico Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Umberto Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinei Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Eurico Batista sped through Savage's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ademir Vides. Eurico Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ademir Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Savage got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Mendonça. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Saguoes's Adrianinho Aguiar got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Adrianinho Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinei Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Alagoano in the 55th minute of the match. Eurico Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ademir Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico Batista in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ademir Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ademir Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Batista in the 67th minute of play. With a little luck, Savage's Ademir Vides got control of the ball when Wiliam Medeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam Medeiros got free with Ademir Vides in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eurico Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eurico Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademir Vides made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Wiliam Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Wiliam Medeiros in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ademir Vides, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Franklin Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Wiliam Medeiros could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Ademir Vides however easily saved by the left post. Saguoes were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Savage's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilberto Melo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Adrianinho Aguiar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ademir Vides quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Savage fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Saguoes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
