Tamboral SS's Adrianinho Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Tamboral SS from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 6 in the game by Dionísio Albuquerque from a close distance when the talented Adrianinho Félix managed to make a qualified save. Tamboral SS's players were relieved. In the 7th match minute, Tamboral SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Negri to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Moreno in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wanderson de Souza saved Ilhinha from getting behind. Dionísio Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dionísio Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ilhinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionísio Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. Cássio de Castro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Dionísio Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Adrianinho Félix. Tamboral SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Dorival Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Félix having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltazar da Fonseca got free with Adrianinho Félix in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrianinho Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar da Fonseca in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Tamboral SS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Oscar Moreno hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Dorival Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dionísio Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionísio Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrianinho Félix having to make a save. Ilhinha's Dionísio Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tamboral SS's Adrianinho Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar da Fonseca in the 44th minute of play. Dionísio Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Félix having to interfere. Ilhinha's Wanderson de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Albuquerque in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dionísio Albuquerque made a kick off. After 54 played minutes, Tamboral SS's Cássio de Castro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wanderson de Souza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tamboral SS reached it. If Baltazar da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Dionísio Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilhinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dionísio Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Dionísio Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Adrianinho Félix. Tamboral SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dionísio Albuquerque in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrianinho Félix prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wanderson de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar Moreno went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Dorival Albuquerque succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 75th playminute. After 78 played minutes Tamboral SS got a freekick which was hit by Cássio de Castro. After 79 played minutes Tamboral SS got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Moreno. Tamboral SS's Adrianinho Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionísio Albuquerque in the 83rd minute of play. Dionísio Albuquerque might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrianinho Félix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dionísio Albuquerque ran back to his position shaking his head. Ilhinha's Telmo Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dionísio Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Adrianinho Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Tamboral SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ilhinha:s goal. Ilhinha were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
