Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Arósio took the kick off in the first half of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Belisario EC's Geraldo Gaspar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dida Cunha. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Belisario EC's Pedro Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Belisario EC's Enrique de Amorim got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Dida Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo Gaspar. 27 minutes into the match, Palestra Itália's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Arósio came free, but Dida Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Belisario EC's Pedro Arósio in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palestra Itália's goalie prevented a goal. Dida Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes of play, Palestra Itália's Deivid Loureiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Célio Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dida Cunha made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Geraldo Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Deivid Loureiro was the one to do the kick off. If João Paulo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dida Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Célio Antunes came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra Itália's Deivid Loureiro. But to his dismay, Deivid Loureiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 66th minute, Sandro Palmeira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Belisario EC's Célio Antunes didn't even have to move. Deivid Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Jânio do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Geraldo Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renatinho Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Célio Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Geraldo Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dida Cunha. Palestra Itália's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geraldo Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Gaspar in the 96th minute of play forced Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Dida Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Palestra Itália failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
