After a rather tough play, Aguai AD's Felippe Macedo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Felippe Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Davi Vianna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felippe Maia ran back to his position shaking his head. Caio Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Vianna having to interfere. When Giovanni dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ibicare AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Giovanni dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Giovanni dos Santos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. Ibicare AD's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Aguai AD getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Paulão Simão hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Juan Toscano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Juan Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Adilson Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Giovanni dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibicare AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adilson Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Juan Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilson Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Adilson Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibicare AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Adilson Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th match minute, Aguai AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Juan Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni dos Santos in the 68th minute of play. In the 77th minute Nilson Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davi Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Paulão Loureiro lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 88 minutes into the game, one of Ibicare AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Jacinto in the 98th minute of play forced Aguai AD's goalkeeper Juan Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibicare AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
