After 15 minutes of play, Ibicare AD's Adilson Braga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dida Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Deivid Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dida Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by João Paulo Peres got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Renatinho Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovanni dos Santos took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Cunha. Dida Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, Palestra Itália's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni dos Santos came free, but Dida Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palestra Itália's Dida Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni dos Santos in the 32nd minute of play. Adilson Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Palestra Itália's Cipriano Brito seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cipriano Brito the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Palestra Itália protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cipriano Brito had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 35 minutes into the game, one of Palestra Itália:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ibicare AD a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Danilo de Moraes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palestra Itália's Dida Cunha. 0-3. Palestra Itália's Dida Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni dos Santos in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, João Paulo Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Nilson Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Lira during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Palestra Itália booed when Ibicare AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Paulo Peres was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Dida Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adilson Braga. After a rather tough play, Palestra Itália's João Paulo Peres got a free kick in the 51st minute. Eusébio Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovanni dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Dida Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibicare AD. Dida Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni dos Santos in the 65th minute of play. João Paulo Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palestra Itália's Dida Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra Itália from getting a goal against them. Ibicare AD's Adilson Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Palestra Itália defense, Adilson Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dida Cunha. The Palestra Itália fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Cunha should have stopped the shot. Although Palestra Itália had been in control for most of the match, Ibicare AD still came away with the win.
