Raí Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Matheus Alves made a huge save. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Róbson de Godoy sped through Mengão Quântico F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matheus Alves. Iranduba SC's Eliézer de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Meirelles in the 42nd minute of play. Dráuzio Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Róbson de Godoy was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Iranduba SC booed when Mengão Quântico F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Iranduba SC's Raí Brito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matheus Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
