In the 2nd minute Tony Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Léo Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tony Loureiro went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Léo Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. When Jon Högman came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Bahia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Högman couldn't finish the play. Léo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Loureiro in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Vander in the 14th minute of play forced Bahia's goalkeeper Tony Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Alex Chaves could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Tony Araújo however easily saved by the left post. Constantina SS's Vinícius Vander was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Alex Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The throw-in from Romário Garcia in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bahia's Eduard Pavlišta. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bahia's goalkeeper Tony Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Vinícius Vander reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tony Araújo. The goal made the score 2-1. Léo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Högman, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tony Loureiro made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Loureiro in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Léo Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tony Loureiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Léo Saldanha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Constantina SS's zone, Tony Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo Saldanha came out of the goal and Tony Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bahia's Tony Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Chaves in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Bahia getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Eduard Pavlišta hit a great ball. Tony Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bahia's Tony Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Chaves in the 76th minute of play.
