Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alex Loureiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Natanael de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 5 minutes, Ronaldo Fenomeno made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Canguaretama's Rony Gerber tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 9 played minutes Canguaretama got a freekick which was hit by Natanael de Toledo. Rony Gerber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Fenomeno's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rony Gerber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rony Gerber came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco da Gama FC's Ronaldo Fenomeno. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Fenomeno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Matthijs Bergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wincent Grabski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rony Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthijs Bergen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Gerber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Fenomeno's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Canguaretama's goal looked a bit too open when Wincent Grabski came free, but Rony Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Canguaretama's Natanael de Toledo got a free kick in the 37th minute. Jefferson Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Loureiro in the 40th minute of the match. With a little luck, Vasco da Gama FC's Jefferson Rossi got control of the ball when Natanael de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldo Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Fenomeno to make the kick off. Matthijs Bergen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Rony Gerber 51 minutes into the match. Ronaldo Fenomeno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Rony Gerber skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rony Gerber came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco da Gama FC's Wincent Grabski. But to his dismay, Wincent Grabski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Vasco da Gama FC's Wincent Grabski got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronaldo Fenomeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rony Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Fenomeno ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ronaldo Fenomeno came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Vasco da Gama FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Fenomeno couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute, one of Canguaretama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canguaretama. The goalkeeper, Rony Gerber, was totally fooled by Vasco da Gama FC's Wincent Grabski, who 86 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 91st minute Matthijs Bergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Albertino Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco da Gama FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertino Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Canguaretama fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vasco da Gama FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
