Jorge Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulvahit Nazil having to interfere. The supporters of Brazil-Goias booed when Murihe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acácio Hermes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th match minute, Brazil-Goias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Romeu Maciel charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeu Maciel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 24 minutes into the match, Brazil-Goias's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Sena came free, but Zé Roberto Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 石扬伟 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Abdulvahit Nazil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Roberto Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Sena in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Brazil-Goias's Guilherme Mello got a free kick in the 31st minute. Clemente Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Zé Roberto Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murihe. 34 minutes into the match, Jorge Prata notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Murihe's Abdulvahit Nazil. Abdulvahit Nazil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Acácio Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Abdulvahit Nazil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Murihe's goalkeeper Abdulvahit Nazil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Murihe's zone, Jorge Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdulvahit Nazil came out of the goal and Jorge Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Brazil-Goias were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Acácio Hermes made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Luís Gustavo de Brito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Murihe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Zé Roberto Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Sena in the 58th minute of play. Luís Gustavo de Brito scored 2-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Roberto Cardozo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Favoretto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murihe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brazil-Goias the free kick. After 66 played minutes Murihe got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Favoretto. 68 minutes into the game, Brazil-Goias's Acácio Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdulvahit Nazil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Brazil-Goias's Jorge Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermínio Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Zé Roberto Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Murihe's Cipriano do Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Roberto Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Brazil-Goias's Romeu Maciel got a free kick in the 80th minute. Cipriano do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Cardozo having to interfere. After 85 minutes, Guilherme Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brazil-Goias and the Murihe players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Brazil-Goias:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Murihe:s goal. Clemente Ferraz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Murihe's Abdulvahit Nazil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Hermes in the 98th minute of play. After 98 played minutes Murihe got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Munhoz. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Murihe had played much better football throughout.
