In the 3rd minute, Hermínio Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Cipriano do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Munhoz's late challenge caught a Tamboral's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. Abdulvahit Nazil made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Tomás Mazza sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute of the match Clemente Ferraz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilson Dias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Murihe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Murihe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ulysses de Queirós 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Cipriano do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredinho Favoretto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Dias. Tamboral's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wilson Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano do Vale went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermínio Sena was the one to do the kick off. Jorge Munhoz was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Murihe's Jorge Munhoz got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 63 played minutes Murihe got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Sena. Ulysses de Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulysses de Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Murihe booed when Tamboral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cipriano do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Pittas short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Wilson Dias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 72nd play minutes Cipriano do Vale shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Wilson Dias and just under the crossbar into goal. Tamboral's Wilson Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Tamboral from getting a goal against them. In the 78th match minute, Murihe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Baiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute of the match Dida Cardoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdulvahit Nazil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ulysses de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdulvahit Nazil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Abdulvahit Nazil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Mazza in the 88th minute of the match. Cipriano do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Wilson Dias made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Murihe's zone, Ulysses de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdulvahit Nazil came out of the goal and Ulysses de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlinhos Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulvahit Nazil having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Murihe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
