Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 8 minutes, Maurício Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marizeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anderson Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12thth minute of the game Anderson Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zadilinos AD's Zézinho Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, César do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fábio de Souza's shot from long distance in the 14th minute was not bad at all, but Zadilinos AD's Zézinho Xavier knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After 15 played minutes, Zadilinos AD's Lino Xavier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oscar Varela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zadilinos AD reached it. Anderson Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Zézinho Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Fabiano de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a rather tough play, Zadilinos AD's Lino Xavier got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Fabiano de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Marizeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano de Amaral couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Anderson Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zézinho Xavier was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Zézinho Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubinho Miranda to make the kick off. Marizeiro's Anderson Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anderson Coelho in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zézinho Xavier saved Zadilinos AD from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Ferraz in the 62nd minute of play forced Zadilinos AD's goalkeeper Zézinho Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Miranda in the 66th minute of the match. Zézinho Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes, Henrique de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zadilinos AD and the Marizeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Zadilinos AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marizeiro:s goal. Fabiano de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho Xavier having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Fabiano de Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zadilinos AD's Zézinho Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílton Torres during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Marizeiro got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Torres. In the 81st minute, Rubinho Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Varela. Marizeiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 85 minutes into the game, Anderson Coelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zézinho Xavier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zézinho Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano de Amaral in the 89th minute of the match.
