Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hernani Queiroz took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Jacarehy's Ivo Chaves got a free kick in the 2nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Pereira in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davi Ortiz saved Jacarehy from getting behind. In the 7th minute, Afonso Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute, Duda Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes of play, Potunduva AD's Afonso Pereira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davi Ortiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Danilo Zilles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jacarehy's zone, Bernardo Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davi Ortiz came out of the goal and Bernardo Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giovanni de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Zilles having to interfere. If Giovanni de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeu Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Potunduva AD's Bernardo Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bernardo Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Bernardo Mineiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Potunduva AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.
Hernani Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Zilles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernani Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. Hernani Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliézer Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Davi Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jacarehy's Giovanni de Amorim in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Potunduva AD's goalie prevented a goal. Hernani Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Potunduva AD got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Senna. Davi Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davi Ortiz made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Bernardo Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. Ivo Chaves's late challenge caught a Potunduva AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivo Chaves helped the player get up and apologised. Ivo Chaves hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Bernardo Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Jacarehy's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Pereira came free, but Davi Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Zilles came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Jacarehy's Hernani Queiroz. But to his dismay, Hernani Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 85 played minutes Jacarehy got a freekick which was hit by Duda Furtado. Davi Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válter Souza in the 86th minute of play. Davi Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Pereira in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Dionísio Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Pereira struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Davi Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potunduva AD. The Potunduva AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Potunduva AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
