Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jonathan Torres got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Torres in the 3rd minute of play forced Confiança-SE's goalkeeper Marcel Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute, Frédson Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fau EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jonathan Torres took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Pinho. Marcel Pinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Marcel Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Carneiro in the 13th minute of the match. When Rony Sergipano fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Confiança-SE's protests and gave Rony Sergipano a yellow card for diving instead. Confiança-SE's Marcel Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Carneiro in the 14th minute of play. If Igor Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Confiança-SE fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Confiança-SE's Igor Ramalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Oswaldo Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rony Sergipano in the 26th minute. Jonathan Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Pinho having to interfere. If Jonathan Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frédson Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frédson Carneiro in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Pinho saved Confiança-SE from getting behind. Confiança-SE's Marcel Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Rocha in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Ramalho made a kick off. Igor Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Pereira having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Fau EC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Barral came free, but Oswaldo Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fau EC's Jonathan Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Igor Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oswaldo Pereira was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. The supporters of Fau EC booed when Confiança-SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Fau EC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Ramalho came free, but Oswaldo Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frédson Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute, Carlos Alberto de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Confiança-SE's zone, Frédson Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Pinho came out of the goal and Frédson Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frédson Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Marcel Pinho made a huge save. Marcel Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Torres in the 94th minute of play. With a little luck, Confiança-SE's Marcel Pinho got control of the ball when Frédson Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fau EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
