Osvaldinho Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Gerber in the 3rd minute of the match. Vinícius Gerber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldinho Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mau EC's Nico Marques got a free kick in the 11th minute. Adhemar Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mau EC's Perivaldo Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Mau EC from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Adhemar Santana fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Sericita SS booed when Mau EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sericita SS's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Simão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Osvaldinho Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Sericita SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mau EC:s goal. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Mau EC. Juarês Queiroz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Osvaldinho Simão. 0-1. With a little luck, Mau EC's Perivaldo Novaes got control of the ball when Fred Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Mau EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Perivaldo Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Mau EC got a freekick which was hit by Régis Alcântara. Fred Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Novaes having to interfere. Nico Marques was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Mau EC's Nico Marques got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Tiago Gabriel Teles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perivaldo Novaes skillfully saved the ball. The Sericita SS fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Sericita SS's Adhemar Santana looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lauro Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Simão having to interfere. Vinícius Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Osvaldinho Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldinho Simão acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elói Pernambucano. If Lauro Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Régis Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldinho Simão. Sericita SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Perivaldo Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Santana in the 91st minute of the match. Perivaldo Novaes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adhemar Santana went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
