Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wellington Veloso started the match with the kick off. When Sericita SS's Fred Campidelis in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacaretinga SC's goalie prevented a goal. Ulysses Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Campidelis in the 10th minute of play. Jacaretinga SC's Ulysses Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Santana in the 11th minute of play. Ulysses Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ulysses Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Campidelis in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Veloso in the 17th minute of play forced Sericita SS's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wellington Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Sabóia having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Jacaretinga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Campidelis came free, but Ulysses Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Campidelis scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Sabóia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fred Campidelis took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulysses Sabóia. Ulysses Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fred Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Sabóia having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jacaretinga SC's Antônio Carlos Sabóia got a free kick in the 32nd minute. During the 34th minute of the match Antônio Carlos Sabóia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Antônio Carlos Sabóia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Sericita SS booed when Jacaretinga SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Tiago Gabriel Teles sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jacaretinga SC's Ulysses Sabóia didn't even have to move. Ulysses Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar Santana's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Valdomiro Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdomiro Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adhemar Santana to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sericita SS's zone, Valdomiro Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho Simão came out of the goal and Valdomiro Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilson Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldinho Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Fred Campidelis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ulysses Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nilson Peres scored 1-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldinho Simão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fred Campidelis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Ulysses Sabóia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ulysses Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdomiro Paulista was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Valdomiro Paulista hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Nilson Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilson Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fred Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Sabóia having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Adhemar Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sericita SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Adhemar Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulysses Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Adhemar Santana came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Sericita SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Santana couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sericita SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
