Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vinícius Gerber started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Trigo in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Sabóia saved Jacaretinga SC from getting behind. When Mau EC's Vinícius Gerber in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacaretinga SC's goalie prevented a goal. Vinícius Gerber might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinícius Gerber ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute of the match Marco Sá shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulysses Sabóia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Antônio Carlos Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes Jacaretinga SC got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Veloso. After 25 played minutes Jacaretinga SC got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Paulista. After 27 minutes of play, Mau EC's Lauro Trigo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulysses Sabóia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lauro Trigo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 31stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ulysses Sabóia would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Vinícius Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ulysses Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Perivaldo Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Mau EC's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Veloso came free, but Perivaldo Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacaretinga SC's Nilson Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Carlos Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Jacaretinga SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wellington Veloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Wellington Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th minute, Régis Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mau EC's zone, Wellington Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Novaes came out of the goal and Wellington Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rony Toscano's late challenge caught a Jacaretinga SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Toscano helped the player get up and apologised. Jacaretinga SC's Ulysses Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Gerber in the 70th minute of play. Vinícius Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Sabóia having to interfere. If Lauro Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lauro Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lauro Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Mau EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Trigo couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jacaretinga SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mau EC.
