Zé Carlos Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes, Franklin Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fasola and the Invictus Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Franklin Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Invictus Fc's Ruy Magalhães, in the 6th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Invictus Fc. In the 12th minute, Raimundo Cardozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Raimundo Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Invictus Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Cardozo couldn't finish the play. Raimundo Cardozo might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredinho Arantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Cardozo ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredinho Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Fasola's zone, Raimundo Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Arantes came out of the goal and Raimundo Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Raimundo Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víktor Paraibano in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Carlos Pinho saved Invictus Fc from getting behind. The supporters of Fasola booed when Invictus Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Carlos Pinho having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Otávio Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Carlos Pinho came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Fasola's Víktor Paraibano. But to his dismay, Víktor Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Zé Carlos Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Paraibano in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Víktor Paraibano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zé Carlos Pinho, passed just outside the right post. Víktor Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Zé Carlos Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes in the game, Víktor Paraibano fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zé Carlos Pinho having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Invictus Fc's Ruy Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredinho Arantes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Víktor Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
