Variante's Danilo Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Teixeira in the 5th minute of play. Sidnei Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fábio de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fábio de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Variante got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio de Castro. If Zé Augusto Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Augusto Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Toscano having to interfere. When João Augusto Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Cacozinho AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Augusto Queirós couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Sidnei Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Variante's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Queirós came free, but Danilo Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Variante's zone, João Augusto Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Toscano came out of the goal and João Augusto Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Variante's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Teixeira came free, but Danilo Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Variante defense, João Augusto Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danilo Toscano. The Variante fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Toscano should have stopped the shot. João Augusto Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Variante's zone, Sidnei Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Toscano came out of the goal and Sidnei Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Augusto Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. Felippe Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A hard shot 63 in the game by Sidnei Teixeira from a close distance when the talented Danilo Toscano managed to make a qualified save. Variante's players were relieved. Danilo Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Augusto Queirós in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Sidnei Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Danilo Toscano. Variante's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 78th minute, Felippe Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felippe Hoffmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Vianna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felippe Hoffmann ran back to his position shaking his head. If Felippe Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Variante's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sidnei Teixeira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 88th minute Felippe Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidnei Teixeira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 93rd playminute. The Cacozinho AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
