Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Belmiro Ramalho got the match started through his kick off. Cocao's Geovânio Cunha was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 3rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Geovânio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute, Geovânio Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Róbson Rosa struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Vivaldo Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Athletic Paulistano. Diamantino Souto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Lucas in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Róbson Rosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Borges was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Yuri Lucas struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Diamantino Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cocao. Róbson Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Borges having to interfere. Vivaldo Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Ramalho in the 29th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuri Lucas got free with Diamantino Souto in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antônio Pernambucano hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the game, Geovânio Cunha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Diamantino Souto. Geovânio Cunha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 48 minutes into the match, Yuri Lucas notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Athletic Paulistano's Diamantino Souto. Diamantino Souto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Róbson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yuri Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Cocao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri Lucas couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Cunha in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Athletic Paulistano's zone, Yuri Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Souto came out of the goal and Yuri Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cocao's Vivaldo Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Ramalho in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Cocao's Vivaldo Borges got control of the ball when Róbson Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Belmiro Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vivaldo Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4-0 became the score in the 84th minute when Geovânio Cunha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Athletic Paulistano's Paulinho da Costa got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Yuri Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovânio Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Souto having to interfere. Yuri Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Diamantino Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Antônio Pernambucano fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Athletic Paulistano's protests and gave Antônio Pernambucano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Athletic Paulistano getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Antônio Pernambucano hit a great ball. Diamantino Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovânio Cunha's shot from short distance in the 101st minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cocao had played much better football throughout.
