Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Teodoro Arósio started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Nado SS getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Walmir de Medeiros hit a great ball. Bebeto Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Ibitiquira's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Rodrigues came free, but Severino Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalmo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes, Enrique Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nado SS and the Ibitiquira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Enrique Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Maciel in the 22nd minute of play forced Nado SS's goalkeeper Bebeto Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Oscar Maciel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Adalmo de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Donatello having to interfere. In the 29th minute Oscar Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adalmo de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Donatello having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Nado SS got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Paranaense. Ibitiquira's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Júlio Luz in the 36th minute. Adalmo de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bebeto Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Severino Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Maciel to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Teodoro Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bebeto Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Roberto Chaves hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Kiko Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Kiko Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nado SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ibitiquira's Zé Roberto Chaves got a free kick in the 68th minute. Ivo Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivo Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nado SS booed when Ibitiquira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Dagoberto da Mata sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Lima skillfully saved the ball. In the 86th minute, Enrique Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nado SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Júlio Luz was slow to take the kick. During this time Ibitiquira's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ibitiquira's Júlio Luz to fire away a dangerous shot which Bebeto Donatello despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Severino Lima came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Nado SS's Teodoro Arósio. But to his dismay, Teodoro Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luís Fernando Soares struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Bebeto Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibitiquira. Chants of Nado SS echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ibitiquira had held the ball for most of the match.
