Válbson Simão made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Lenílson Alves sent off a good shot on target. João Paulo Prata hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Lúcio Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Itapevy getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Arnaldo Mazza hit a great ball. In the 9th match minute, Poxim EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Lenílson Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Válbson Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válbson Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Luisinho Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válbson Simão having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Itapevy got a freekick which was hit by Guto Souto. In the 35th minute, Arnaldo Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Poxim EC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Moreno came free, but Luisinho Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisinho Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Moreno in the 38th minute of the match. Arnaldo Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Luisinho Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lúcio Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Loureiro in the 60th minute of play forced Itapevy's goalkeeper Válbson Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Sabóia having to interfere. Arnaldo Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Luisinho Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Cristóvão Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Poxim EC's Mathias Carioca got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Cristóvão Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poxim EC's goalkeeper Luisinho Sabóia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Moreno in the 97th minute of play forced Poxim EC's goalkeeper Luisinho Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Itapevy failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
