Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Adhemar Correia got the match started through his kick off. Faustão Nóbrega might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luisinho Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustão Nóbrega ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute Laerte Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Luisinho Sabóia managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Esporte Clube Vitória's Adhemar Correia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Diego Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Poxim EC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Laerte Braga hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Rogério de Andrade dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luisinho Sabóia, 2-0. If Doni Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lúcio Loureiro to make the kick off. Luisinho Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Correia in the 53rd minute of play. Adhemar Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. After 66 minutes of play, Esporte Clube Vitória's Adhemar Correia made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisinho Sabóia was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Esporte Clube Vitória's Ricardo Lopes got control of the ball when Laerte Braga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Adhemar Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Adhemar Correia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisinho Sabóia was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game.
