Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomás Santana started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Zé de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abel Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jubaia's Hílton Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Martins in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Osmar Cosme made a precise shot to the right of Hílton Cosme. Jubaia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Martins in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Santana in the 14th minute of play forced GAINO's goalkeeper Joel Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, GAINO's Zé de Souza got a free kick in the 15th minute. When GAINO's Abel Martins in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jubaia's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Santana in the 23rd minute of play forced GAINO's goalkeeper Joel Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abel Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Jubaia's zone, Christiano Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Cosme came out of the goal and Christiano Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Hílton Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Martins in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Cosme saved Jubaia from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Christiano Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Santana hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Hílton Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Martins in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Martins to make the kick off. Abel Martinss short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Hílton Cosme to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Abel Martins came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the GAINO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Martins couldn't finish the play. Joel Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Tomás Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Arruda having to interfere. Abel Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hílton Cosme having to make a save. 69 minutes into the match, Tomás Santana notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of GAINO's Joel Arruda. Joel Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Leonardo Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Abel Martins took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Hílton Cosme to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Márcio Bastos during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, one of Jubaia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jubaia. After 92 minutes of play, GAINO's Sidnei Bittencourt made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there!
