Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sebastião Veiga got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Itaobim EC's zone, Osvaldinho de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizinho Tande came out of the goal and Osvaldinho de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fabiano Massa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Luisinho Terra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Pimenta's Osvaldinho de Senna got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Sebastião Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itaobim EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Pimenta's goalkeeper Luisinho Terra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fabiano Massa. If Roberto Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Luizinho Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Itaobim EC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho de Senna came free, but Luizinho Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Enrique Mangueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldinho de Senna made a kick off. Luís Fabiano Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Luisinho Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fabiano Massa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisinho Terra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fabiano Massa in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisinho Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastião Veiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisinho Terra having to make a save. Ediberto Maranhense's late challenge caught a Pimenta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediberto Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. Ediberto Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 77 minutes, Roberto Gaspar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pimenta and the Itaobim EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Pimenta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. Pimenta's Luisinho Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Massa in the 78th minute of play. When Enrique Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pimenta's protests and gave Enrique Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Pimenta got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Mangueira. Osvaldinho de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 minutes, Iuri Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaobim EC and the Pimenta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itaobim EC's Iuri Azevedo got a free kick in the 91st minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Itaobim EC were victorious despite being under pressure from Pimenta for much of the match.
