Ismael de Sousa started the match with the kick off. Ismael de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Túlio de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Gramados's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Macedo came free, but Maurício Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael de Sousa's late challenge caught a Nobres SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael de Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Gramados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Luisinho Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nobres SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisinho Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 22 minutes, Túlio de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nobres SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Túlio de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisinho Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Valladares having to interfere. Nobres SC's Túlio de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gramados's Maurício Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Macedo in the 27th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Fellipe Loyola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Arruda having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael de Sousa in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Arruda saved Nobres SC from getting behind. Luisinho Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Maurício Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio de Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Maurício Valladares made a huge save. Júlio de Carvalho hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Gramados's João Adolfo Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
