With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Linhares in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otávio Teles saved Tigre from getting behind. Atilio Ancheta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Tigre's Evandro Donatello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atilio Ancheta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Otávio Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Linhares in the 35th minute of the match. Claudinho Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 minutes of play, Cassual SC's Armando Linhares made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otávio Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Linhares was the one to do the kick off. Bernardo Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Armando Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Claudinho Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cassual SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinho Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otávio Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinho Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Otávio Teles made a huge save. Otávio Teles stood somewhat misplaced when Claudinho Fonseca came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 70 minute. In the 77th minute, Cassual SC's Armando Linhares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Otávio Teles. Otávio Teles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. When Gilvan Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tigre's protests and gave Gilvan Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Gilvan Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Cassual SC's Armando Linhares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Otávio Teles. Otávio Teles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Tigre's Otávio Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Linhares in the 89th minute of play. If Claudinho Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otávio Teles made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Claudinho Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. Atilio Ancheta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Donatello in the 97th minute of the match. Armando Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cassual SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
