With an all-out effort, Cassual SC's João Pires threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Armando Linhares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Faustão Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Claudinho Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Pires. Real jumex FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Fernandinho de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fernandinho de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Enrique Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real jumex FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Fernandinho de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Atilio Ancheta. Cassual SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Linhares in the 46th minute of play forced Real jumex FC's goalkeeper João Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Armando Linhares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cassual SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Linhares was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Real jumex FC's Vivaldo Arósio got a free kick in the 51st minute. Claudinho Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Enrique Pimenta lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Atilio Ancheta. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Armando Linhares sped through Real jumex FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Pires. In the 64th match minute, Real jumex FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Meira to maneuver through the defense. Fernandinho de Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atilio Ancheta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Enrique Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Atilio Ancheta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real jumex FC. João Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Linhares in the 85th minute of the match. If Claudinho Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cassual SC's Atilio Ancheta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Pimenta in the 92nd minute of play.
