Cristóvão Tande came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Cassual SC's Armando Linhares. But to his dismay, Armando Linhares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Claudinho Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Armando Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Cassual SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Linhares couldn't finish the play. Cristóvão Tande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Linhares's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dadá Gaspar during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Armando Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Claudinho Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristóvão Tande was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After 24 played minutes Cassual SC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Gonçalves. If Naldo Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. In the 36th minute, Claudinho Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Tande was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 43 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cassual SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gallia the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Chiquinho Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chicão Lemes short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Atilio Ancheta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 45 minutes into the game, Lenílson Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cassual SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gallia the free kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Linhares was the one to do the kick off. Claudinho Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 53 played minutes, Cassual SC's Cleiton Guimarães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristóvão Tande came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cassual SC reached it. Naldo Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Atilio Ancheta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Tande having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Claudinho Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cassual SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Gallia's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Linhares came free, but Cristóvão Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Armando Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Dadá Gaspar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Gallia's Dadá Gaspar got a free kick in the 69th minute. Armando Linhares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristóvão Tande having to make a save. Claudinho Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cristóvão Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Tande was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Armando Linhares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 73 minute of play. João Pedro Lima hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Gallia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cassual SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
