The audience was convinced that Beto Mota's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luizinho Leão was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Jairo Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Martins having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Rubiao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. When Literlade AD's Jairo Faustino, in the 19th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Literlade AD. If Armandinho Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léo Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Faustino in the 24th minute. Jairo Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Martins having to interfere. If Ricardinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 36 minutes, Jairo Faustino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Literlade AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Faustino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jairo Faustino struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Léo Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Literlade AD. If Jairo Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a rather tough play, Rubiao's Ricardinho Cosme got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th match minute, Rubiao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. Léo Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Netto in the 60th minute of play. Luizinho Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Magno Britto fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Literlade AD's protests and gave Magno Britto a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardinho Cosme in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizinho Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jairo Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Cosme in the 72nd minute of play forced Literlade AD's goalkeeper Luizinho Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armandinho Netto in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Léo Martins saved Rubiao from getting behind. Armandinho Netto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Léo Martins having to make a save. Beto Mota struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Luizinho Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rubiao. A collision led to Literlade AD getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Magno Britto hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Cosme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luizinho Leão. Ricardinho Cosme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. When Giovanni Alves fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rubiao's protests and gave Giovanni Alves a yellow card for diving instead. The audience held their breath when Magno Britto in the 97th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Léo Martins's left hand side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rubiao had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
